Thank you for supporting the Whiskey Education Foundation (whiskyedu.org). We are ready to welcome you at History San Jose (635 Phelan Avenue, San Jose).
San Jose History Park is connected to Kelley Park and Happy Hollow Zoo. The entrance for History San Jose is on Phelan Avenue, just beyond the intersection of Senter Road. The event is in the Train Lawn to the left after you enter the walk in gate.
PARKING
We recommend you get a ride to the park or have a designated driver. A public parking lot is past the “Foot Entrance” gate, further down Phelan Avenue. Please see the map. Cost is $6 from a self-serve kiosk. Parking charges are effective 24 hours and the lot is monitored for compliance.
We do not recommend other parking lots of Kelley Park. You would have to walk a considerable distance. There is only one access gate (“Foot Entrance”) to our event and it is at Phelan Avenue.
WHISKEY TASTING EVENT LOCATION
If you ride share, you want to be dropped off at the “Foot Entrance” gate. If you park, walk back along the road to the “Foot Entrance.” Once you enter the park, head to the left for the Whiskey Tasting. When you get to the tasting area, you’ll need to find the registration table and get your wristband and tasting glass. Please bring photo ID as we need to confirm that you are over 21 years of age.

THE EVENT
We are expecting nice weather. We will be on a grass lawn. Dress comfortably – we recommend business casual.
We stress the importance of not over-consuming. Each sample will be 0.25 ounce. This amount is required to properly smell the aromas (nosing), very similar to wine tasting. When tasting, either take a small sip (1/3 of the sample) or take a larger amount into your mouth to let it coat your tongue as you swish it around your mouth and then spit it out. A dump bucket will be at each table.
Guests who have purchased the puff bag will get their cigars when they register.
Additional tickets are available “at the door.” Additional puff bags are for sale until they run out.
SAFETY
We must stress, we will ask guests who have over-consumed to leave. Your money will not be refunded. For the enjoyment and out of respect for your fellow whiskey enthusiasts, monitor your consumption. Events like these will no longer be available to us all if too many problems of over-consumption occur.

Puff Ticket holders will receive cigars at Registration. We ask that cigars are only smoked in the Cigar area which will be downwind from the Whiskey Tasting.
