Whiskey Tasting
events FAQS
What do you need to bring to a whiskey tasting event
If you plan to attend a whiskey tasting, it’s essential to know what items to bring to ensure a pleasant experience. Firstly, you’ll need a spacious table to accommodate all the necessary items, including glasses, water, whiskey bottles, and a notepad for taking notes. Having enough space to arrange all these items conveniently and have easy access to them during the tasting is crucial. Secondly, the type of glass you use can significantly affect your whiskey tasting experience. As a general rule of thumb, the bulbous-style glass is the best type for whiskey tasting. This glass has a unique shape that allows it to hold the aroma of the whiskey, and the scent doesn’t evaporate too quickly, ensuring that you get the full aroma and taste.
What should I expect from a virtual whiskey tasting?
Each participant will receive a whiskey tasting box with samples, a tasting glass and detailed notes. A zoom link will be emailed to each participant. A whiskey educator will start the tasting with an explanation of what whiskey is, how to nose it and taste it. Each whiskey will be tasted and discussion is encouraged. Only 1/3 or less of each sample is consumed, with the remaining of the sample left for each guest to try at a later time.
