Whiskey in the Park is the whiskey festival San Jose turns out for every June. Now in its seventh year, it fills History Park with towering trees, historic charm, live music and over 100 whiskies from around the world.

At Whiskey in the Park you are not just sampling whiskey. You are exploring Scotland, Ireland, Japan, Texas and beyond — one glass at a time. Meet the distillers, hear the stories behind the barrels, compare flavours with fellow whiskey lovers, and experience the kind of evening that feels both relaxed and unforgettable.

Whiskey Bottle Pull

Like a traditional grab bag, but with whisky bottles. Pay to play and receive a random bottle. Some bottles are worth far more than the entry fee, and every prize is worth at least as much as the fee — a raffle where everyone wins. Participation is limited to the number of bottles we have, so do not miss your chance to score big.

Masterclass: premium cigars and whiskey pairing

Upgrade your experience with the Masterclass Add-On, where our experts guide guests through a deeper sensory exploration of whiskies and cigars, pairing techniques, and the stories behind exceptional spirits. Explore the process from plant to final product, pair with two exceptional whiskies, and take home two sticks from premium brands. Whiskies TBD.

VIP Experience and After Party

The VIP Experience includes five hard-to-find whiskies from our connoisseur’s collection, available from 5:00–6:30 PM, plus a special Masterclass deep dive — an entertaining exploration into whisky supported by guided tastings. Keep the evening going with the After Party from 8:00–9:00 PM, featuring streamed music, food and hydration in a relaxed setting.

The 2027 whiskey festival San Jose line-up is still being confirmed, with new brands added most weeks. Expect a similar spread across Scotland, Ireland, Japan, India, Israel, Mexico and the United States, plus a non-alcoholic option for designated drivers.

Where is the whiskey festival San Jose holds each June?

The whiskey festival San Jose knows as Whiskey in the Park is held at History Park at Kelly Park, 635 Phelan Avenue, San Jose, CA 95112. It is an outdoor site with mature trees and historic buildings, about ten minutes south of downtown San Jose.

What time should I arrive?

General Admission runs 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The VIP Lounge opens at 5:00 PM and the hard-to-find pours there are only available until 6:30 PM, so VIP ticket holders should arrive early rather than late.

Is food included?

Yes. At this whiskey festival San Jose savory food is included with General Admission, and the VIP upgrade adds an after-party dinner from 8:00 to 9:00 PM. Eat before and during. You will be tasting a lot.

Do I need to bring a glass?

No. A souvenir tasting glass is included with every ticket and it is yours to take home.

Is there anything for a designated driver?

Athletic Brewing poured non-alcoholic beer at the 2026 festival and we expect a non-alcoholic option again in 2027. Please plan a ride either way.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds for the whiskey festival San Jose tickets are available up to seven days before the event through Eventbrite.

Is this a 21+ event?

Yes. Valid photo ID is required at entry, with no exceptions.

I have never been to a whiskey festival. Will I be out of my depth?

No. At any whiskey festival San Jose hosts a good share of the room is there for the first time, and this one is no different. The distillers behind each table are the ones pouring, and they are happy to explain what you are drinking.
